Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka is a British-American sitarist and musician. She won the British House of Commons' Shield as the youngest, and the first female to receive it. In addition to receiving nine Grammy nominations She was also the first musician of Indian origin to perform during the ceremony live. Anoushka Shakar is a promising young emerging singer on Indian Sitar is Anoushka. She is both the student and daughter of Ravi Shankar. Her birthplace was in London in 1982 and began her life by hopping to London as well as New Delhi. At the age of 13, her first show at New Delhi took place. Then she moved into Encinitas CA, where she earned her High School diploma with honors in 1999. Anouskha's career as a performer and recorder is quite impressive, in spite of her youth. She regularly accompanies her father on stage, which she's been doing for a number of years. Her debut solo album, Anourag, was released in 1998. The album was released in 2002. her Grammy award-winning album Live at Carnegie Hall. Stage performances are a large part of her career. She's performed at many famous venues around the world. Her career doesn't just comprise musical performances. Bapi the Love of My Live, a biographical picture dedicating to her dad Ravi Shankar was published in 2002. In 2003, she appeared as a Bharat Nathyam young dancer Dance Like a Man. Anoushka Shankar is currently a rising superstar and her fame is expected to continue growing. Anoushka Shakar, who was born in England was a major part of her time between London Delhi. When she moved to California she completed the high school. In Delhi during his birthday celebrations for his 75th birthday, Anoushka made her debut as a sitar player in front of an audience at the age of four, following her nine year old father. Anoushka gained many valuable experiences by accompanying her dad when he toured the world. It included performances at Carnegie Hall and at Peter Gabriel's WOMAD concerts, as well as recording with George Harrison. The youngest female to win the House of Commons Shield, awarded by British Parliament as recognition of her musical talent and artistic ability in performing in the Asian Arts.
